Sleeves!

The coat is coming together fast. Today, I put on the sleeves and added some serger detail to the front. I debated doing more to the back, but with the hood down the back I suspect it would be too much. All that is left is attaching the hood and installing the zipper.

Of course, zippers are my downfall. I have about 4 projects in my craft room that are completed except for the zipper. Since I have a deadline for this project, I am hopeful that it will be the catalyst for me to put the zipper foot on my machine and go to town.

I like how the coat is shaping up although it reminds me of something. Something a little... Gryffindor. Instead of making the monster bell sleeves on the original Technodolly design, I went for something a little more restrained. Without the hood and in these colors, the coat looks like something that Hermione might wear. Let's hope the final product doesn't bring to mind a quidditch match. :P
